Physical activity during pregnancy

The time when the pregnancy was considered a disease, thank God, gone! Today we all know that physical exercise beneficial for the future mother and baby. Even women weightlifters may continue to engage in regular exercise program. All that is needed - slightly modified it in order to avoid overloading. If you're used to doing sports regularly, during pregnancy, better start training very gradually, slowly increasing the load. Here are some tips that should and should not do during pregnancy.

Should:

* Discuss the nature and frequency of sports activities with your doctor.
* If the physician approves your decision, do sports regularly (3 days per week). At irregular physical stress the body has to re-adapt to it.
* Drink plenty of fluids before and during the occupation.
* Eat right. The diet should be balanced and include carbohydrates. Sports burn calories, and your goal - to maintain during pregnancy normal weight.
* Caution. Doing in adapted premises in order to avoid injuries.
* Measure the pulse at high load. This helps avoid overloading. Consult a physician which maximum load is permissible.
* Avoid exercises that provide the load on joints and ligaments (the slope, deep knee bends, etc.). Changing the hormonal environment weakens the connective tissues and makes the joints more vulnerable.

Should:

* The practice of sport in that case, if you have previously occurred preterm birth, or in the presence of abnormalities (vaginal bleeding, isthmic-cervical insufficiency, rupture of membranes, and any anomalies in the development of the fetus). Pregnant women suffering from chronic diseases, may engage in sports only with permission of a doctor.
* Perform exercises in a supine position before the first trimester of pregnancy. These classes interfere with blood flow to the uterus.
* Overly zealous. If you're tired, take a break. Pregnancy - not a time for world records and achievements!
* Overheat. If you're hot, it is best that day not to do. Wait, when it becomes cooler.
